About the Author
Galen Blackthorne
Galen Blackthorne was born in the Midwestern United States and has moved from five different states until, at the age of 9 he found his true home in the Pacific Northwest. He has been married to his beautiful wife Jade since 2001. Together they live on 6 acres nestled in the foothills of Mount Hood.
His early influences, starting at age 10, were authors of Sci Fi and Fantasy legend, such as J.R.R. Tolkien, Frank Herbert, and Robert A. Heinlein. Later other authors were added, such as Terry Brooks, Ed Greenwood, R.A. Salvatore, Timothy Zahn, Kat Richardson, and the great Jim Butcher. All of these great authors and their enthralling stories have helped mold Galen's motivations and style over the years.
Galen has been writing for the last 20 years. His early works were stories written for class projects often written in other author's styles at times even writing new stories based upon their characters and concepts. Sadly, these early stories have been lost in time. He then went on to create his own world to write in with the help of his old friend Zachariah De Bigod. Now after a 5 year break from writing, mainly spent in near slavery to the corporate world, Galen has started writing again. This time he is focusing upon writing fantasy based in the modern era as well as a new venture with his sister, Sarin Blackthorne, into documenting the chronicles of the Blackthorne Clan.
So the adventure begins anew...
